Traveling by train for two weeks, a team of ZUZA photographers visited about 15 European cities. Visiting a new place every day, they captured thousands of images. Today we are happy to present the most interesting ones.
The main idea of this project was to express through photography feelings and emotions that we experienced traveling by train. The moment a traveler boards the train, he is psychologically tuned for the changes waiting for him ahead. Not only the train journey in Europe is a comfortable mean of transportation, but we also see it as a way to reach out for our goals and dreams. Or sometimes - just a getaway. Stretched through all European countries, changing many people’s lives, railroad became a key element of our photo project. We traveled along those who commuted to work every day, tourists cruising Europe, those who rush for a business meeting, or eager to meet the loved ones. Some were still hesitating on which route to take. Or even those left behind, face to face with their uncertainty.
We would see people meeting and parting. We will discover different national, social and age communities in different countries for whom rail road is not only a mean of transport, but an aspiration for something very important in their lives.
Main railway stations and small rural whistle stops with their authentic aura became a perfect natural stage set uniting all those people, bringing forward the brightness of the everyday things that surround us. In a daily routine we might not have enough time to realize how important are those small details, which at a first glance seem trivial and dull.

The sincere words of gratitude to all being involved in this project!
